The idea of all Moto Provencale tours is to cater for all tastes, you can ride hard every day or you can take the short route and catch an afternoons sunbathing. The on-bike GPS means you can travel at your own pace, stop whenever you see something worth looking at and still have all the advantages of a fully guided tour.

Moto Provencale offers three styles of biking holiday :

"Stay-at-home" Holidays

OK - so its actually our home - many of our customers want the fun of motorcycle touring without the hassle of checking into a different hotel each night and living out of a suitcase.  Well maybe our Provence tour is the answer - you can stay here in St Remy de Provence and ride out each day in a different direction to see a completely different slice of Provence - mountains, salt flats, rocky cliffs, the 'hanging villages' or the vineyards in the Rhone valley to name but a few.

On your arrival in St Remy de Provence (we will collect you from the airport or train station) we will welcome you to your hotel and give you a short welcome tour of the town. Each day of your holiday we offer a guided ride-out with three different routes (short, medium or long) available. Each route will bring you to our lunch stop where you can choose from a range of local restaurants.

Every day we can offer a non-riding tour taking in the sights, sounds and tastes of Provence. Wherever possible the non-riding tour will meet up with the riders so that you can join your partner for lunch or even take a half day riding and a half day sightseeing (this option is for passengers only!).

As you will return to St Remy each night you don't have the bother of packing and unpacking your bags and checking in and out of hotels. You can ride each day or pick your days off - you can even change bikes half way through the week - or each day if you want to try everything.

Guided Tours on modern bikes

For 2007 we are offering three different 'modern' tours which involve riding to a different destination hotel nearly each day, offering a guided trip through all types of countryside, roads and cultures. These tours will start and end at our base in Provence.

Every riding day we offer three levels of route - easy, medium or long - to try to cater for the range of riding styles and motorcycles used. In the middle and at the end of the week we will have a two-night stay-over at a hotel to allow you to take a "day off" to relax or see the sights - there will of course be optional riding routes for these days as well. Each member of the touring party will have a GPS mounted on his motorcycle as well as full tour notes and maps, allowing you to ride off on your own or as part of a group without ever having to worry about getting lost.  All hotels on the trip will be three star or higher. Breakfast will be included each day.

Guided Classic and Sidecar tours

New for 2007 we have launched a series of classic tours specifically designed to be run on any of our classic or 'modern classic' bikes such as the Royal Enfield or Urals - solos or sidecars.

These tours will run at a slightly more sedate pace and aim to stay on the smaller (and usually prettier) roads more suited to the demands of drum brakes and 1960s powerbands.  Why not try our Royal Enfields for a cruise through the south of France before heading off for that trip through the Himalaya's you've been ogling after?  Or even a week-long tryout on the Ural sidecar before your trip to Siberia to see the factory on our Ural tour next year ??

Ride-away Tours

As all of our tours (both the St Remy-based and the travelling tours) are guided by GPS and provided with full route sheets and maps, you can choose to ride any tour on any date you choose. You will of course have to carry your own bags (not a problem as most of our bikes have fitted luggage - or sidecar trunks!) but we will arrange all hotels and transfers for you. Ride-away tours offer the maximum freedom with the most comfort and back-up. Remeber we offer a french mobile phone and an (english-speaking!) GPS with each bike so that you can call us at any time (even for menu translations) and, should you have any problem, you can tell us the GPS reference for your position and we can come and find you straight away.

All of our tours are designed to give the maximum flexibility to ensure everybody gets what they want from the holiday. Each day we offer three routes of different lengths and covering different terrain and we always try to include a double-night stop to give 'days-off' to those who want to mix riding with relaxing.

As we can have a wide variety of machines on any tour - solos, sidecars and classics - as well as a range of abilities and riding styles we don't expect everybody to ride together but we do find that very often riders of like minds tend to team up for a day or more. The Moto Provencale guide will always be there at the start and end of each day to ensure everybody has all the information they need and will accompany any rider who wants company.  Should anybody have a problem during the day we can quickly take their exact location from their GPS and drive straight to them - no more guessing which country lane you are parked on!

We try to offer something for everyone on our holiday packages, but if you have any special requirement please don't hesitate to call us or email us and we will do our very best to accomodate you.

We hope to see you during 2007, but wherever you end up - Happy Riding and have a great holiday!
